The Chronological history of Gigg Lane, the only home for Bury Football Club

The redevepmont of 1924 involved the Main Stand and South Sides of the ground.? In mid July, the Main Stand roof had been demolished and a rail track laid in the Paddock, in order to assist with the removal of debris and earth. ? Notice how high above the pitch the Paddock originally was.? The old frontage of the 1897 stand remained an integral part of the extended 1924 stand.
